The BioGrids Software Suite contains 500+ Scientific software applications for Linux and OS X, and an additional 1,400 R packages and 600+ python packages.
The software can be installed using one of 3 methods:
This is ideal for large labs, shared and departmental installations that use a shared network file storage for their programs. The installation is updated automatically on a monthly basis. This installation is large and can take some time to install.
The BioGrids GUI Installation Manager client allows users to select the applications through a graphical client. This client also allows users to search for titles or browse all available titles.
Installing the GUI Installation Manager also installs the CLI Installation Manager as a BioGrids application located under the /programs tree.
The BioGrids CLI Installation Manager tool allows users to choose the titles they wish to install using a command-line driven package manager. Applications can be installed and updated as convenient. This client can be made automatic or used in manual mode.
